Geographically the Episcopal area of the diocese is spread across the entire Gujarat state; approximately the size of England.

The diocese came into existence in 1970 along with the Union of Church of North India (CNI). CNI is the union of six different denominational traditions (Anglicans, Presbyterians, Baptists, British Methodists, Brethrens, ). The diocese has continually grown since 1970 and today it is one of the fastest growing dioceses in entire CNI.

Much of its growth has come from active evangelism programme implemented by diocese’s own missionary organization – Gujarat Missionary Movement (More) and diocese’s partnership with various missionary organizations (More). Be part of this evangelism movement.

Financially Gujarat Diocese is a faith ministry with diocese’s entire income coming from donations received from its members and well wishers. Foreign contribution makes a very small part of its income, which again is not a regular affair. Learn how you can contribute and where it would be used.
